Prof. Amarendra Kumar Sandra is a distinguished academician and researcher in the field of Civil Engineering with specialization in Transportation Engineering. He completed his B.Tech in Civil Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal in 2001, M.Tech in Transportation Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur in association with TU-Darmstadt, Germany in 2003, and obtained his Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani in 2008.

He has over 20 years of experience in teaching, research, consultancy, and industry. He is currently serving as Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Andhra Pradesh. Earlier, he worked in several reputed organizations including GMR Infrastructure, HBS Infra Engineering Pvt. Ltd., L&T-Ramboll Consulting Engineers, BITS Pilani, and Manipal University Dubai.

Prof. Amarendra Kumar Sandra has extensive expertise in pavement engineering, highway engineering, airport pavement design, transportation planning, pavement maintenance, and material characterization. He has successfully completed more than 50 consultancy projects related to highways, airports, and transportation infrastructure. He is a recipient of the Dr. Shanker Dayal Sharma Gold Medal and Institute Silver Medal from IIT Kharagpur. He has published numerous research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences. He has guided Ph.D. scholars, supervised more than 50 M.Tech projects, and actively contributes to research, consultancy, and faculty development activities. .
